About us

Chamber of commerce was founded in 2003 and is located in the heart of capital city of Slovakia - Bratislava. Chamber has their representative in Sydney. Chambers of Commerce has members and consultants who are working on different position in both countries.
May 2004 was a milestone for Europe‘s development. At this time 10 countries has join EU and increase the size of EU market. Slovakia was one of them. Central position in EU, entrance to non-eu countries, good network of roads with constant expansion, highly educated young people and hard working attitude make Slovakia one of the best places to invest and develop relationship with. Year 2003 and 2004 were very successful in terms of changes in regulations, tax reduction and introduction of one rate of GST. Slovakia is great opportunity for companies looking for expansion. It is great entrance to EU with good road, train and air connections, a lot of new extension and introduction of new routes and cheap labor force. Last 2 years Slovakia became a place for investors such as Peugeot-Citroen, Whirlpool, Siemens and recently Hyundai. Australia was a little bit slow in terms of investments in Slovakia. The only Australian investor is insurance company QBE. But the big potential of Slovakia is especially in region of mountain block of Tatras. The National Park has great possibilities for relax, skiing in winter, pleasure walks with beautiful scenery. All over Slovakia tourists can enjoy thermal, mineral springs and spa such as Piešťany, Trenčianské Kúpele or Korytnica. There are lots of opportunities and with right investment proposals and ideas Slovakia can became a Mecca of tourism and investment.
